The Coston family started in the construction business in the Birmingham area in 1956, as E.C. Coston Company.

• Kenneth C. Coston, Sr. grew the business as Coston Construction Company from 1987-2002.
• Kenneth C. Coston, Jr. then continued the construction tradition as the fourth generation of the Coston family. He was President and Chief Executive Officer of Coston General Contractors, Inc. until his passing in 2024.
• Today Russell Stone, Skylar Coston, and Lauren Coston Blair make up the fifth generation of quality construction at a fair price.

Coston General Contractors, Inc. specializes in commercial and light industrial construction projects but also strives to achieve diversity in the types of work contracted.
